This week, we’re putting the spotlight on our partner in Liverpool. We’re sure you already know the exciting history and attractions the city has to offer, but come with us to explore more of what’s in store.

We were so excited to find out that Liverpool was the city chosen to host Eurovision on behalf of Ukraine next year. There was some fantastic competition from other cities such as Glasgow, Newcastle, and Manchester — but ultimately, Liverpool are the champions! We have no doubt that they will be fabulous hosts and that next year is going to be amazing.

As well as Eurovision, you can expect lots of exciting events in Liverpool in the lead up to the big event — and beyond. There’s always something to see and do in this historic city, whether it’s soaking up history at one of the many museums, exploring the lives of The Beatles as you wander through the streets, or cheering on your team at the Merseyside Derby, we guarantee there will be something for everyone.

We’ve picked a handful of events to highlight but be sure to see what else is on in Liverpool!

River of Light

Stroll along the Liverpool Waterfront as it’s lit up by an illuminated gallery from a range of artists from all around the world. A fully immersive experience with light and sound, this 2km loop will enchant the whole family. Download your map and get ready to explore these beautiful illuminations.

The Luna Winter Cinema

What better way is there to celebrate Christmas than with a range of cheesy Christmas classics up on the big screen, a mug of mulled wine, and a venue dressed spectacularly for the occasion with twinkly lights and snow dusted trees? None, we say, so get on down to St George’s Hall for the festivities!

The Scousetrap

A scouse twist on an Agatha Christie classic, catch this production at the Royal Court Liverpool this week! Will Miss Marble solve the case, or is it curtains for the whole cast?

Curious About Liverpool

Why not take to the streets and learn about all the quirks and hidden treasures of Liverpool with a heritage walk? With something for the whole family to enjoy, you’ll find there’s a lot more to this historic city than meets the eye…

Chila Kumari Singh Burman

Immerse yourself in a bright, colourful, experimental space at FACT, created by the artists in residence. New artists are to come in every two months and display their works so there will always be something new to discover, alongside workshops, performance, and talks.
