…there was a company called Data Thistle.

They had listings for hundreds and hundreds of live events all around the UK, spanning multiple genres like theatre, comedy, sports, music, kids — and many more! Some of the listings they had were for book events, and if you go to datathistle.com today, you can find a range of events celebrating Book Week Scotland!

Yes, Book Week is here again! For kids and big kids alike, there are readings from authors, workshops, and all kinds of bookish activities planned for this year’s celebrations. The events planned are all to celebrate Scotland’s Stories and build awareness for how important books and reading are for us all — think where we would be if it weren’t for stories!

Though the celebrations are contained in Scotland this time around, there are always plenty of ways to champion books and reading happening all around the UK. Turn the page to see what you can get stuck into — happy reading!
