Experience the enchanting story of Rapunzel like never before this Christmas as this YMCA Productions show adds new characters, exciting twists and unexpected turns to the plot. Join Rapunzel and Jack the Lad as they embark on their quest to free her from the tower.
Sit back and watch the adventures of our hero Dick Whittington and his trusty cat Tommy as he searches for fame, fortune and happiness as he is made the Lord Mayor of London. This magical pantomime isn’t short on fun, music, and dance, and laughs are guaranteed along the way.
Wrap up warm and come along for a magical night of your favourite Christmas Carols. The annual concert will feature performances from Bethany Grimshaw Vocal, Celebration Brass and the United Schools Choir.
Get ready for a festive fairytale night of laughter, adventure and a whole lot of magic. The Stephen Joseph Theatre present their production of Cinderella which will have you on the edge of your seat as Cinders races against the clock with the help of a rather confused trainee fairy.
Fancy something a little more active? This Festive 5K is the perfect way to get out in the fresh winter air and raise some money for charity this Christmas. It’s also a chance to show off your finest Santa suit or festive fancy dress! Come along and walk, jog or run the route around the beautiful lake at North Yorkshire Water Park to fundraise for a great cause.
Magic Mike and Chuck return for this festive family favourite, and this panto style show promises more magic than ever. Come along and enjoy spectacular costumes and routines from the Hey Presto dancers and don’t forget to dress up in your favourite Christmas fancy dress to add to the fun.
By the artist Wintercroft and produced by the arts charity ARCADE, this alternative take on the traditional Christmas Grotto is a walk-through immersive experience you won’t forget. Made entirely of repurposed and recycled materials, the magical world of Grue is a cardboard labyrinth of enticing rooms filled with wonders.
Scarborough’s real ice rink returns this Christmas and is the perfect festive activity for family days, dates, fun with friends and more. All abilities of skating are welcome to come along and enjoy refreshments from the bar and a cosy roaring fire in the adjacent tipi.
Open until Monday 2 January, Whitby welcomes all to its fantastic ice rink. This year is set to be better than ever with a real ice rink that’s 60% bigger than 2021’s. Whether you’re an avid skater or want to give it a go for the first time, feel free to skate in all weathers under the marquee.
Scarborough’s Christmas Activities will run from Saturday 10 to Sunday 18 December and will include a whole host of free festive fun.
